Video: Scout 365 and 430 Inflatable Boats
The Scout 365 and 430 inflatable boats offer a lightweight, durable and compact watercraft. The high bow with the flat bottom creates a stable platform and allows you to navigate shallow waters. You can stand up and fly fish, cast with ease and feel totally stable. Check out some of our favorite features!
Scout series of inflatables only weigh about 50 pounds without your seat and your other accessories. You can store the Scout inside of a trunk, overhead compartment, in your yacht, or your RV. Inflatables are inherently lightweight, super buoyant, and tough to tip over. 50 pounds shared between you and your best friend is not too bad at 25 pounds apiece.
The Scout inflatables are super stable. It has great balance and buoyancy so if you rock this boat it's not going to go anywhere. When you're out there the open sea you could also use the stabilizer bar to lean against and do some fishing or utilize this extra stability to pull crab traps & crab rings.
With your Scout 430 or 365, you've got oars installed conveniently on the boat and they're ready to use at any given time. The Scout series only draw about four inches of draft, that means you can get out in the shallow waters of a bay or an estuary or have a nice easy shore launch or landing. The Scout inflatables are great for anybody who doesn't have a truck or doesn't like backing up a trailer.
You've got a full-size 12-foot or 14-foot boat here that inflates out of the bag and powered with a motor up to five horsepower. On the bottom of the Scout 430, you'll notice four fins. These fins are for tracking aiming to help you go in a straight line while you're out in the rough seas, high winds, or flat waters just rolling around. On your scout 365, you'll find an extra shock-absorbing strip. This rubberized strip runs most of the length of the boat and it's meant to be drug across abrasive ground, inflated and deflated on gravel or asphalt and concrete.
Come see us out at Scappoose Bay for demos. We've got the 14-foot and the 12-foot. Seven days a week, any time!
