Video Gear Review: Fischer My Ranger 98 Women's Ski
Next Adventure staffer Reuben walks us through the Fischer My Ranger 98 designed for all mountain powder and resort skiing.
Hey, I'm Ruben from Next Adventure.
We’re here today to talk about the Fisher My Ranger 98. The My Ranger 98 is a women's specific version of the popular Ranger series. The Ranger is a big mountain/all-mountain ski. It features a significant amount of camber underfoot allowing it to carve on hardpack snow, as well as a generous amount of tip rocker, meaning it will float beautifully in deeper snow. The Rangers air tech technology featuring a milled wooden core, carbon in the tip and a stiffening layer of titanium alloy means that this ski is super lightweight. That, paired with the cutaway tail makes this an excellent touring ski as well as a great ski for charging downhill on the resort.
The Rangers 98-millimeter waist width makes it an excellent all-mountain ski while the large tip makes it great for charging down big slopes on big mountain terrain. This ski is quite stiff underfoot making an excellent backcountry ski. It's also great for someone who's hoping to ski down big slopes with deep snow but doesn't want to compromise performance on groomed runs. The My Ranger also comes in an 85-millimeter waist width. A ski which is better for carving on groomed runs and not quite as good for deeper snow.
That's the Fisher My Ranger 98. Come check it out in our store or online at nextadventure.net
