Video Gear Review: Astral Designs TR1 Junction Hiking Shoe

Dave Garringer from Astral Designs shows off the TR1 Junction trail shoe at our Summer Splash 2017 event. This is a lightweight hiker designed to shed water and stand up to frequent soakings. Hey, how’s it going? I’m Dave Garringer, here at Summer Splash. I’m going to talk to you a little bit about Astral Designs and our new TR1 series trail shoe. The one we have here is the TR1 Junction. It features Astral’s new Balanced Geometry with a one mill drop that keeps the ball of your foot and heel level. It’s water ready with built in drainage so it’s ready to go splashing in the creeks. It has a 1000 denier Cordura upper that makes it abrasion resistant but allows it to dry very quickly. The sole features our signature G-Rubber which is super sticky on all kinds of different rocks, roots, and trails. To make sure that your foot is planted securely and not going to slip inside the shoe has a medium sized heel cup and a wider toe box. Go out and enjoy yourself on the water with the Astral TR1 Junction.
