The Report: The Stand Up Paddle Boarding at Broughton Beach is super fun and easily accessible. Broughton Beach is just off Marine Dr on the Columbia River and 1/4 mile from PDX airport. The parking lot is 75 paces from the water. The water is generally calm enough for a fun little jaunt in the water.
I've seen plenty of seals and osprey out there along with a ton of other birds. Speaking of birds... Planes are literally landing/taking off 150 feet (rough guess) above your head. I would recommend going to this beach early and/or middle of the week, unless you like crowds. Otherwise, SUPing at Broughton Beach is rad!!
