Full Review: In late November I landed in Bangkok. Although it was the coolest time of year, a winter heatwave kept the city sweltering through the day, and gave in only slightly at night. Since I was traveling on a budget, I often chose non-air conditioned rooms in order to save the extra Baht for train tickets and eye watering curry. Without air conditioning, the nights would have been sleepless and muggy had it not been for the Coolmax Adapter. I brought the simple fleece blend liner as an afterthought but never would have guessed what a big difference it made.
I used my liner at least once a day, whether in a hostel, sleeping on a train or laid back in my hammock digesting a mountain of Pad Kee Mao. The soft hand feel of the sheet makes it ideal for sketchy hotel rooms and starchy hostel beds. Its compactness, feather weight and versatility made it one of my essential pieces of gear while in humid Southeast Asia.
The Good List: Soft, cool, and very comfortable.
The Not so Good List: After a few washes, the delicate fabric begins to fray a bit. This is not a piece of equipment that can be thrown through the mud or dragged around.
The Bottom Line: It is convenient to come prepared with a sleep system while traveling. This product offers a compact, lightweight, and versatile sleeping accessory.
