Gear Review: ZUCA Disc Golf Backpack Cart

Value Rating: 9 Durability Rating: 9 Overall Rating: 10 Location of Test: Disc Golf courses in Portland, Bend, Salem, and WA Duration of Test: 1 year Product Name: ZUCA Backpack Cart Product Brand: ZUCA Best Use: Disc Golf ZUCA Backpack Cart ZUCA Backpack Cart The Full Review: Looking to upgrade to #cartlife but still want the versatility of that grab’n’go disc golf bag? The ZUCA cart has filled that need and I don’t see myself going back. The ZUCA backpack cart fits most standard disc golf bags but the Dynamic Discs Ranger bag and ZUCA cart seem to be made for each other. The bag slides right into the frame and fits snugly. The top of the ZUCA cart opens to allow access to the upper compartments of the bag. Since rolling with the ZUCA rounds have seemed easier and have taken less of a toll on the back and shoulders allowing for more comfortable play and happier rounds. With cup holders attached, there is plenty of opportunity for hydration. The cart rolls best on flat ground but I found that the wheels are sturdy enough and the bag is stable enough for trails and a rougher terrain. For the roughest of trails, rocks, and dodgy hills the ZUCA bag is super lightweight and easy to just pick up and get past those spots. Speaking of wheels, there are handy little tightening bolts that tighten to the threads. THIS IS A MUST! I didn’t discover the tightening mechanism right away and instantly lost a wheel. Luckily a friend had a teeny tiny Allen wrench and I haven’t had to worry about those wheels ever since. The ZUCA cart comes with a plethora of accessories and add-ons that are available for purchase. Some are worth it and others are not. I went with the fenders to go over the wheels as I play a lot of muddy Oregon Team Disc Golf. I also grabbed a ZUCA rain fly for those wet rounds and a putter pouch that attaches on the handle. The Good Saves your back Fits the Dynamic Ranger Bag perfectly Dual water bottle storage Holds the gear you need Plenty of space for extra gear Doubles as a seat Rolls well and is well balanced Lightweight The Bad: Accessories are expensive Tighten that threaded bolt or you’ll lose your wheel! You lose access to putter storage, so you’ll need to buy that accessory The Bottom Line: I’m not going back to carrying my bag on my back full time
