The Full Review:
I am beyond sold and obsessed with this cowl-neck baselayer. Being an avid fan of all things Patagonia already, I was curious to see how well it managed to keep warm considering how thin it is. After trying it out on Mt. Hood and hiking the damp, cold coast I am beyond impressed with its warmth to weight ratio. Even around Portland, I find that this paired with my Patagonia Houdini jacket offers unparalleled warmth compared to anything else on the market.
In normal conditions, I run incredibly cold... but NOT anymore! Since purchasing this, I have had two friends also purchase this piece and they are equally as obsessed. It's cute, comfy, and adorable. This air hoody has been my gateway to more of Patagonia's base layers. I expect this piece to be a staple in my closet forever.
The Good:
The warmth-to-weight ratio is off-da-hook. Seriously, you'll be warm and comfy. The color is also amazing. The style is amazing. The warmth is amazing. You can't go wrong.
The Bad:
The only dislike I have about this adorable cowl-neck sweater is that it could be a little bit thicker. It is passable to wear only this without anything under it, but that would be pushing it.
The Bottom Line:
Really impressed with the (so far) durability, fit, warmth, and everything about this cowl-neck base layer. I am sold on Patagonia's attention to quality and highly recommend this for anyone that enjoys being warm and cozy.
