Gear Review: ENO Atlas Hammock Suspension System

Value Rating: 10 Durability Rating: 10 Overall Rating: 10 Location of Test: Anywhere between two trees Duration of Test: 3 years Product Name: Atlas Hammock Suspension System Product Brand: ENO (Eagles Nest Outfitters) Best Use: Hammocking! Sizes: Regular 9ft | XL 13.6ft ENO Atlas Hammock Suspension System The Full Review: These straps are so easy to use you'll be amazed. ENO provides a great lightweight carrying sack for the Atlas Suspension System, just toss it in your backpack with your hammock and off you go. When fully stretched out the straps are 9' long. On one end you will find several loops (these are for adjusting to varying lengths) and on the other end is a single loop. When setting up your hammock simply wrap the strap around a tree and feed the end with several loops through the single loop on the other end and attach your ENO hammock carabiner to one of the loops. You can move the carabiner from one loop to another to achieve the desired tension in your hammock for ultimate comfort. Trees are too close? No problem - simply wrap the strap around the tree until it is shortened to your desired length. ENO Atlas Hammock Suspension System These straps are strong and can support up to 400lbs. My preferred method of camping is in my hammock and these straps make it so easy to set up camp. While my buddies are still busy unfolding their tent, I am already set up and swinging in my hammock due to the ease of use with these straps. The ENO hammock clips into them in a matter of seconds. I'm so glad a brand like ENO made its way into my life. Hammock camping is great and these straps and the hammock itself are so intuitive and easy to use I don't see any reason to go back to a tent. ENO Atlas Hammock Suspension System The Good Lightweight, easy to pack Strong. Up to 400 lbs!! Incredibly easy to use Many loops for optimal adjustments The Bad: Need to find the right trees that are the appropriate diameter and spacing The Bottom Line: The best hammock suspension system out there
