I always thought they were a racket until I put these babies on my feet and took to the trails. I wish I had found out ages ago how awesome these things are! They keep my toes toasty on the chilly runs, but they still have enough breathability that things don't get overheated. The padding and compression on these socks is great. It is almost like they designed them special for us runners (they did)! The arch has just enough compression to make your foot feel secure and the toe and heel have just the right amount of padding to cushion against blisters and not create bunching. Wool was a good choice. These socks dry quickly, stay warm when they're wet, and they don't smell!? Wow. I LOVE these socks. The Good Durable, comfortable, breathable, perfect padding and compression, quick-drying, warm, anti-blister, amazing. The Bad: I won't be able to ever go back to wearing cotton ankle socks while running. The Bottom Line: Do you or someone you love have a running habit? Get these socks. You will not be disappointed.
