Full Review: I was a little confused when Dagger first came out with the Jitsu seeing that they already had a successful playboat (Project X). However, after paddling the new Dagger Jitsu I was able to realize why they introduced it into their line of very successful kayaks. I always find it hard to find a playboat that has a good balance between full play, and downriver capabilities. However, I believe that Dagger hit the nail on the head with this design!
The Jitsu plays exceptionally well in holes and on waves and has no problem running rapids. It has a good bow/stern balance and volume seems to be distributed quite well. The outfitting is the new contour outfitting from Dagger and is highly adjustable and comfortable. This is without a doubt one of the most fun playboats I have ever paddled! Get out and try one today!
"The Good" List: The Dagger Jitsu has a perfect balance between full play and downriver freestyle. The front surfs very well and is super easy to loop. One of my favorite playboats no doubt!
"The Not so Good List": Sometimes when trying to side surf you will get kicked off of the wave due to the aggressive edge of the Jitsu.
The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a playboat that can park & play and paddle downriver with comfort and ease than the Dagger Jitsu is the playboat for you!
