The Full Review:
The Kazu Kokubo Pro is an awesome board to ride, but only if you’re ready for the challenge. This board is on the stiffer side and is one of the stiffer capita boards we have in the shop. I found this board to perform well on big, open runs where I could make big, open carves.
Overall, this board is a powder stick. It’s a ton of fun to ride in the right conditions. It takes a lot of leg power to control this board in hardpack conditions. I’d recommend this board to more advanced riders that are planning on charging harder and wanting to take deeper and steep lines.
The Good:
Extremely stable with great edgehold.
The Bad:
Not an entry-level board. Be ready for speed and control if you’re going to charge on this.
The Bottom Line:
This board is so sick! If you like stiff powder surfers, get this board!
